DEI: The Manufacturing Institute’s ‘Pledge for Action’

Resources are still available to access

Many in the manufacturing community are recognizing that DEI is a critical part of the toolkit for supporting their employees. Take The Manufacturing Institute, which is the workforce development and educational partner of the National Association of Manufacturers.

The organization is committed to increasing diversity and inclusive initiatives across the manufacturing sector through events and conversations. These events are opportunities to share best practices that identify and address systemic racism. Over the summer, the Manufacturing Institute led the industrial sector in crafting a diversity and inclusion “Pledge for Action

“By 2025, manufacturers commit to taking 50,000 tangible actions to increase equity and parity for underrepresented communities, creating 300,000 pathways to job opportunities for Black people and people of color. In doing so, manufacturing will reflect the diversity of the overall U.S. workforce by 2030.” If you are interested in signing up for the pledge, you can do so here.

As part of the pledge, the Manufacturing Institute is holding monthly webinars for manufacturing businesses on various ways to tackle diversity and inclusion initiatives within their own organizations. Below is a list of upcoming webinars and registration links.
